the Holidays

The holiday season is here, bringing with it the joys of spending time with family and friends, but unfortunately for many, stress can come into the picture as conflicts arise between getting work done and enjoying the season to the fullest. With that in mind, we have some tips for using technology safely to help you make the most of the holidays.

Tip 1: Shop securely online

Shopping online can be a great time-saver but you will want to take steps to ensure that you keep it safe. Make sure that any device you use for shopping online - including your smartphone or tablet - is up-to-date with an updated operating system and antivirus. Always use a secure internet connection (which requires a password) when sharing personal or financial details - don't make your purchases using the public Wi-Fi. You should also check that any site you purchase from is legitimate by ensuring there is a closed padlock on your browser's address bar and that the site begins with https or shttp.
