Public Employee Membership Management System

The Membership Management System was built to facilitate the centralization of data and integration of work flows within a unionized public sector work environment. Members are managed based on their bargaining unit and detailed information is maintained from an employee’s initiation date through to their retirement.

The system includes modules for tracking Duty Logs, Grievances, Issues (WSIB, Benefits, H&S) and their relation to both bargaining units, members or collective agreements. A granular permissioning system ensures that only qualified staff have access to personal data and member information.

Administrative staff can rapidly log calls from members, answer issue status questions or generate mail outs (snail mail and email). Duty Officers can quickly make notes of potential issues or calls from members. Stewards can enter and view issues and grievances related to their membership group.

Grievances pipeline and workflows can be created to automate many of the common steps and procedures associated with the initiation of a grievance.

The Executive Committee and staff members can acquire key top level reports and summaries of any module answering questions like: How many grievances do we have at certain stages? How long does it take for an average grievance to move from initiation to completion? What are the most common issue areas per bargaining unit? Which areas of the collective agreement are referenced most often in filed issues and grievances? Etc.

The system is entirely web based so it can be accessed remotely via secure VPN and includes a plug-in for Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Mozilla Thunderbird to further simplify usage.
